"Annual Publications, Historical Society of Southern California, Volume 12, Numbers 1-3, 1921-1923," printed by the McBride Printing Company. The green clothbound book with speckled paper has gold printing on the spine including the organization name and publication years. The three complete publications are bound inside, including the original wrappers. Number one, consisting of 86 pages, includes an officers list; a foreword; a chronological list of Society members; a summary of contents, by title and author, of publication contents from volumes 1-11; a general index to papers and annual reports given to the Society during the same period; a list of active and honorary members in 1922; and an announcement on the sale of back issues. Number two, consisting of 109 pages, includes an officers list, and five articles. Number three, consisting of 139 pages, includes an officers list; the constitution and by-laws of the Society, and six articles. There are fold-out maps in numbers 2 and 3. At the inside front cover is the ex-libris label of a former owner. With little evidence of use and, therefore, of wear, the artifact is in good condition.Lexicon
