Description

Color: Black; Brown; Orange "Art Needlework," issued by the Home Art Company, 1929. The 31-page catalog has a brown paper cover with a drawing in orange and brown of two women and a girl in a sitting room. The women inspect a quilt while the girl observes. At the top right corner is the page number where the latter quilt is listed and on the left corner is a note on the quality of the goods. Across the bottom is the name and address of the company in orange and black letters. On the back is an advertisement with illustrations of doilies and scarfs. Listed inside are a variety of items for the home including textiles such as doilies and tablecloths; quilts; linen sets; curtains; laundry bags; lingerie; aprons; and children's rompers. There are many black and orange illustations included throughout. Found within the catalog were a coupon which is item .2; a letter .3; cash offer .4; order blank .5; and a return envelope. With some creases; dents; and small tears on the cover, the artifact is in good overall condition.
