Behind them is a large two-story wood frame building with a sign reading, in part, "San Diego Beach Company," likely referring to a realty firm. The caption is at the bottom and there is an ink inscription on the reverse that is a mathematical rendering of the year 1912 subtracting 25 years. With very heavy soiling, edge rubbing and some stains, the condition is poor to fair.
