ATTACHED PRINTS OF AGNES TEMPLE AND LUIS FATJO IN BARCELONA
Color: Black; White
Black and white attached prints of Agnes Temple and Luis Fatjo in Barcelona, Spain, 1930. The couple walks at the left of the center in each of the three images with Fatjo on the left. He wears eye-glasses; a hat; a tie with a stud; collared shirt; three-piece suit; and gloves. He holds a cane down in his right hand and has the left arm at the side. Temple holds this arm with her right hand as she smiles at the camera. She wears a hat; scarf; a long coat which has fur at the collar; a dark-colored dress; and hose. In her left hand she holds a pair of gloves. At the right of the back is a tree. Under this sit two men who wear dark clothing and caps. Several automobiles are visible behind the tree. Across the background are many trees, street lights, and several multi-story buildings. The structure at the far left has a sign across the top that reads, "HOTEL COLON." There is very little variation between the images except for the positioning of the couple's legs. Written in pencil at the right of the back is the number, "33860574." Below this in Temple's writing is, "Taken one Sunday in / Barcelona." The photograph was housed in Temple's album which is item 96.7.94.1 along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With some stains and soiling at the front and back, as well as a crease between the first and second images, the artifact is in fair condition.
