Description

Color: Black; White A black and white negative of the Auditorium and Workman House from the west and north, ca. 1920s. The strip has six frames with the ones marked 25-26 of the auditorium from the northeast. The structure is at the right with an automobile parked at the far right. Part of the dining hall is behind the building at the center. A palm tree is at the left and a planter is at the right of the foreground. Frames 27-28 are of the Workman House from the east. The home is at the center with both south wings clearly visible. An awning, which is over the south porch, can be seen between both wings. The home's courtyard is at the right and within it is part of the arbor, a small structure, and a small gazebo. Across the bottom of the foreground is the top of the Mission Walkway with the tops of some of the arches visible through the beams. Frames 29-30 are of the Workman House north elevation somewhat visible though many trees and bushes. Only an arch at the porch and the northwest wing are clearly discerned. Prints for the negatives are items .1-.34 with the contact sheets being items .35-.37. The artifact has no visible signs of wear or damage and is therefore in good condition. Number-Units: 1
