Description
AURELIA ROWLAND DE VEJAR AND MARGARITA ROWLAND DE SANCHEZ, 1941
Color: Black; White
A color copy of a black and white photograph of Aurelia Rowland de Vejar and Margarita Rowland de Sanchez, November 1941. The two women are in the center of the image riding in the back of a convertible automobile; Aurelia Rowland de Vejar is on the left and Margarita Rowland de Sanchez on the right. Two men in hats sit in the driver and passenger seats. The vehicle, which is on a paved street, has a California license plate on the front left with the numbers, "38 N 101." Also on the front are two loudspeakers attached to the bumper high above the driver's sight level. On the top center of each speaker is the word, "GILMORE," with what appears to be a logo of a leaping lion below. The same word and logo can also be seen on the car door at left and refers to a Los Angeles oil company. Across the background is a line of trees and bushes followed by wood fences and two homes capped by pitched roofs. With no signs of wear, the item is in good condition.
