An auto race finish at Ascot Speedway, Los Angeles, by F. G. Bentley, Los Angeles, 1917. The view shows the top three finishers, identified in an inscription at the top, along with the name of the speedway, location, and date. At the left is a man holding the checkered flag, while at the right and into the distance are some of the bystanders at the raceway. Because of the reference to the "ORIGINAL ASCOT" it is supposed the production of the print is later than 1917, though of no known date. A stamp for Bentley with an address and negative number is on the reverse. With a nearly torn-off lower right corner, edge wear, creases, and light soiling, the general condition is good.Lexicon
