Avalon Harbor, Santa Catalina Island, July 1928. The snapshot was taken from a boat anchored in the harbor and looking back toward the west side of the town. Some hillside structures are in view, as well as bare hillsides and ridgelines. In the foreground is some of the harbor, anchored boats, and some structures. A pencil inscription on the reverse reads "Avalon, Catalina Island / July 1928." With some edge rubbing and soiling, the condition is good.
