Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, by Harvey E. High, November 1927. The view is taken from the hill to the east side of the harbor and shows two piers, portions of the waterfront and nearby buildings, some structures along the far end of the beach, and homes on the hills at the western side of the community, including the recently-completed homes of author Zane Grey and Phillip Wrigley. On the reverse is an ink number "23" and High's stamp. A photocopy of High's notes read "A View of Avalon on Catlina [sic] Island, Nov. 1927." With slight edge rubbing and a small stain and light soiling on the reverse, the condition is good.Lexicon
