Description
Aviator Louis Paulhan climbing aboard his aircraft at the aviation meet at Dominguez Field, Los Angeles, January 1910. The detail shows Paulhan standing on the skids and with one foot on the craft, ready to pull himself onto the plane. There are several persons standing around the craft and, in the background, a large partially-covered grandstand filled with persons. Adjacent to that is a large structure. seated in his aircraft with some of the engine, wings of the biplane, support pieces and other components. On the reverse is a stamp reading "Fleet Agency," indicating this was a press photograph. With only light edge wear and soiling, the condition is good.
