A photograph of two pilots entering the open cockpit of a biplane, 23 September 1928. The pilot entering the front seat appears to be a woman, while a man is on the ground behind her. The view is a closeup, so part of the plane's body and wing structure are visible, but not much else. Written in ink at the top margin is "Stew & Theo taking off" while at the bottom is "L.A. 9/23/28." At the right margin is the inscribed number "149." On the reverse is a stamped number "02" at the upper right corner. Other than slight yellowing, there is no wear or damage to the image, which is in good condition.
