Label: A label issued by the Azusa Chamber of Commerce to promote the sale of Sunkist-brand oranges. The front shows text in green ink with the city's name at top with the state name at bottom left and chamber name at bottom right. In orange letters at bottom left is "Drink Sunkist/Orange Juice/Daily." At the top below the city name is a drawing of the city hall, public library and civic auditorium. At lower right is a drawing of two women wearing sporting outfits and holding tennis rackets. One pours orange juice from a pitcher into a glass held by the other. On the rear is a stamp promoting Azusa-raised oranges. The label, which was probably for promotional purposes and not used as a label, was purchased from Mark Kittinger and is in good condition with some discoloration, a few creases, and a small stain at reverse lower center. Stamped on reverse in dark ink, "AZUSA, CALIFORNIA/Noted for superior qualities and/exceptionally flavored juicy oranges./For your health's sake, eat Azusa/Sunkist Oranges and drink a glass of/orange juice daily."
