"B 23. Marengo Avneue South From Col. St.," Pasadena, California, Edward Sands Frost and Son, ca. 1886. The view, taken from the center of the wide, pepper tree-lined dirt street, shows rows of hedges fronting the sidewalks and glimpses, mainly on the right, of portions of houses. The title is at the lower left of the image and the name and location of the photographer at the bottom margin of the mount. On the reverse is a stamp for a newsstand at the Nadeau House hotel in Los Angeles. With some curvature, edge rubbing and bumped corners, as well as soiling and stains on the reverse, the overall condition is good.
