Description

BACKYARD FENCE AND TUDOR-STYLE HOUSE FROM DUBOIS WOVEN WOOD FENCE PAMPHLET Color: Black; White A photograph of a backyard fence and a Tudor-style house from a pamphlet for Dubois Woven Wood fences, ca. 1920s. The horizontal image shows a good portion of the back of the house, which has the distinctive roofline of the style. The woven wood fence extends from the house, though not as a side wall, toward the lower right of the image. The wall consists of thin poles with cpointed tops, joined together at four horizontal braces on the other side, as seen in image .7 small plans are placed along the wall and two taller shurbs may indicate an opening for a gate, though it cannot be determined if there is a gate at that location. At the lower left is a lawn, while at center right is a part of a neighboring house. A caption at the bottom reads "IT BLENDS PERFECTLY WITH ALL TYPES OF ARCHITECTURE." At the lower left is the inscription "Dubois Woven Wood Fence / Made in France," while at the lower right is "Robert C. Reeves Co. / New York." There appears to be little wear or damage to the artifact, which is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
