Description

"Bells and their associations," from W. Temple, undated but ca. 1860-1890. The document appears to be a school essay on the widespread general use of bells for religious, educational, firefighting and other purposes and has a "very good" notation in pencil, suggesting this was inscribed by a teacher. The writer could have been William W. Temple and been from about the 1860s or his nephew Walter P. Temple and be from around the 1880s. With folds, stains, soiling and creases, the condition is fair.
