Description

"Belmont Treeliter," lighted Christmas tree stand, patented 1926 but of a later production date. The item has a green painted metal circular base with a four pronged clamp apparatus screwed into it. This apparatus holds the trunk of the tree in place. There are three sockets for colored bulbs, two of the extant ones being larger and older and the third being much smaller and newer, and a cloth-covered cord emanates from the base for plugging into a wall socket. Two electrical plugs are mounted onto the base, as well, presumably for light strings on the tree. There is a label on one part of the base with the product name and patent date and the styling may be from the 1940s. With many scratches, dents, and other marring to the finish, the overall condition is fair.
