Description

Color: Blue; Brown A square tile from the "Big Fish" panel, produced as an artist's model by RTK Studios, ca. 1990s. The piece, made from the black-line technique, depicts the ocean with variations in glaze colors to create the water's glassy surface and the shadows cast by fishing boats pictured in tile square 99.35.12.3. Across the bottom is the rail of a fence, and on the right is the head and torso of a fisherman. He wears a hat, a bandana around his neck, a vest, and long-sleeved shirt. This is the second row, center tile in the 15-piece panel, which was in preparation for the final product installed along the Via Casino in Avalon, Catalina Island. With little indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition.
