Description

BIG FISH TILE PANEL--SECOND ROW, SECOND FROM LEFT Color: Blue; Brown A square tile from the "Big Fish" panel, produced as an artist's model by RTK Studios, ca. 1990s. The piece, made from the black-line technique, depicts the ocean with variations in glaze colors to create the water's glassy surface and the shadows cast by the torso of a fisherman in a row boat along the top. On the front of the boat are the tails of two fish. The top of a post is on the bottom right corner. This is the second row, second from the left tile in the 15-piece panel, which was in preparation for the final product installed along the Via Casino in Avalon, Catalina Island. With little indication of wear or damage, the object is in good condition.
