Color: Black; White
A real photo postcard of actress Billie Dove, 1928. The image shows Dove in profile with her right hand held against her chest. Notable features are her bobbed hair, her earrings, bracelet and necklace, and her sheer dress. The actress's name is at the bottom center and there is a Dutch term "Iris - Verlag" at the bottom right. On the reverse is an notation to an address in the Dutch city of Dordrecht and a name in the message portion. The stamp was removed and the cancellation stamp is from Rotterdam and dated November 9, 1928. A penciled number "4 -" at the top right appears to be a dealer's price. With some foxing, soiling, and edge and corner wear, the artifact is in good overall condition.Lexicon
