Description

A postcard, "Bird's Eye View of East Los Angeles, Cal.," postmarked 13 October 1908. The card is taken from some hills and looks down upon a small valley with a railroad bridge crossing a river and an area of residences, though in the distance there is open land at one side of the valley. Further off are some low hills and then taller mountains behind. The area described as "East Los Angeles" was later changed to Lincoln Heights and the view seems to be from the hills to the north and east. With ink stains on the upper left of the image, soiling, small creases and edge wear, the overall condition is fair.
