Description

"Bird's-Eye View of Los Angeles" by George Clark, ca. 1880s. The view is taken from the top of a multi-story building and looks north-east with the Plaza toward the upper right, New High Steet at the right and center, and what may be Fort Street, later Broadway, at the left ascending Poundcake Hill. In the distance is Sonoratown, looking towards modern Glendale and the Verdugo Hills. With soiling, stains, and edge wear, the overall conditon is fair.
