Description

BLACK FRINGED JACKET-LIKE SHAWL WITH FRINGED SLEEVES Color: Black A black jacket-like fringed shawl with fringed sleeves, ca. 1900, believed to have been owned by Lucille C. Workman [Buehler Montenegro], daughter of Joseph and Josephine Belt Workman. The piece is of silk with embroidered floral designs in black consisting of vines, leaves, and flowers on the front, lower back and sleeves. There are some stains, particularly on the back, a few pest holes, and some damage and wear to the fringe, so the item is in fair condition.
