Contents include a description and illustrations of black juice grape varieties in the state; a classification by color and use of the main commercial varieties of grapes; a glossary of principal terms; illustrations of grape leaves; a description and illustration of colorless and red juice varieties; and, comprising the bulk of the document, descriptive charts of grape varieties with plates of the bunches, berries, and leaves of each. On the inside of the back cover is a list of supervising inspectors for the California Federal-State Inspection Service. With corner and spine rubbing; light cover creases; a dent at the bottom right corner; some soiling on the cover; minor page yellowing; some cover stains; and very light tarnish from staples, the condition is good overall.
