A pair of pants for a mariachi suit, ca. 1910. The black trousers have yellow rickrack trim along the front and back and plain trim along the sides. Lining the trim on the front and back are small metal studs. There are also studs along the sides but they are of a slightly larger size. Also along the sides are cream and red silk inserts. Part of a whole suit, the artifact comes with a jacket which is item 94.31.2.1, and a belt 94.31.2.3a-b. With discoloration, missing and rusting studs, and tearing of the inside lining, the object is in overall fair condition.Lexicon
