Hat: blue silk & velvet woman's hat with 3 silk rosettes at base of crown [front]. Crown has alternating quarters of blue silk & blue velvet. Silk covered pasteboard brim with gold silk piping around the edge. Rosettes have a wooden toggle bead & 3 synthetic pearls at center. 4" blue silk georgette trim around base of crown. Black silk lining. No label. Silk is shattering overall. Georgette band has many losses & is held in place with a fine nylon net [modern]. There is a 5" piece of silk missing at the back of the crown at brim. Pasteboard is bent out of original shape. Gold silk piping is abraded overall. Lining has extensive losses and has been poorly repaired around the opening and in two places inside the crown. Very fragile. Overall physical condition is poor.
