A draft of "La Expedicion Santa" by Thomas W. Temple II and Douglas S. Watson (San Francisco: Grabhorn Press, 1932), 197pp. The typed manuscript is hardbound in a light green cloth and is evidently a draft because of the many corrections made in Thomas Temple's hand. The work is a narrative history of the 1769 Serra expedition to explore and colonize California. Six handwritten drafts of sections of the book are in between pages two and three are are numbered parts b-g, with an additional handwritten sheet found at the back of the book labeled as part h, and the two covers being i) for the front and j) for the back. Other than the separation of the book from the covers, there is significant discoloration; stains; creases; and pest holes on pages, so the object is in poor condition.
