Book, My Trip Abroad, ca. 1914. The dark brown cover has an intricate design with gold, red, green, and blue ink. An inscription before the title page reads, "This little book was a birthday / present to Dad from Norman & / Margarita Guthrie. He gave it / to me to make good use of it during our trip- / Thomas W. Temple / June 28 1926." The first part of the book contains sections of information that may benefit travellers, including exchange values of currencies and tips about anticipating the weather which may occur during your trip. The later pages are titled with different subjects but leave blank spaces for the owner to inscribe information. Notes from Temple are present which detail his travels; a voyage to New York; Manzanillo in Colima, Mexico; Guatemala; Acajutla, El Salvador; and Panama.
