Description

A pre-Prohibition bottle ticket from G. Piuma, Los Angeles, ca. 1910s. The item has the product name of "Anisette Compound", a heavily stylized design including two gold Greek figures in round appliques, and the company name and city. Giovanni Piuma once rented the Temple adobe house at Rancho La Merced for his winery, before moving it, by 1910, to the location north of downtown Los Angeles described on this item. Other than light soiling, there is little wear or damage and the condition is good.
