Description

Color: Blue; Orange; White A box that contained the four-reel motion picture "Introduce Me," sold for home use by Pathex, 1926. The item has orange borders on all panels with blue lettering on white backgrounds. On the top and bottom panels is "ASK ANY PATHEX DEALER / FOR A CATALOG OF / MOTION PICTURES FOR THE / Pathex / Motion / Picture / Projector." Two of the side panels read "4 / REELS / MOTION / PICTURES / NON-INFLAMMABLE FILM / for / Pathex / Motion / Picture / Projector." A third panel reads "Pathex / MOTION PICTURE FILM / Douglas MacLean / IN / `Introduce Me' / D-26 / 4 Reels." The final panel is titled "IMPORTANT" and gives instructions for threading the film onto the projector. Only two complete reels, with nitrate-based film, and a third reel separated from the case, which both are included, came with the box, and are items 2.2 through 2.5, and are kept in refrigeration because of acetic acid off-gassing. With much corner rubbing and abrasions, dents and warping, surface soiling, browning, some smell from the film's acetic acid, stains, and edge tears, the condition of the item is fair.
