Box of "Personal Greeting Christmas Cards," manufactured by The Cincinnati Art Publishing Company, ca. 1920s. The item includes the box lid and bottom (parts a and b), which are plain and the lid having the pasted on identification label, twenty-three single panel cards (one stamped "Gauge") with holly, cardinals, and a stylized lantern and fan-like design that are reminiscent of Japanese lanterns, and twenty-three lined envelopes encased in a paper wrapper. Two cards and envelopes were evidently used. Though the box has rubbing, soiling and stains, the cards and envelopes are as new and the overall condition is good.
