Description

A photograph of Boys Republic buildings, Chino, 1914. The image, printed onto postcard paper, shows three structures, appearing as if new or relatively new, which are labeled with numbers in the sky above them. These include 1) the "Court house & jail"; 2) and 3) "Two boys cottages." Also written is "California Boys Jr. Republic 1914." The view is from the south. The facility, known as George Junior Republic, was opened in 1907 in what is now the city of Chino Hills. The image came from album pages that are part of the accession. With soiling and glue and photo album page residue on the reverse, the condition is good.
