BRADLEY'S HARD DRYING FLOOR ENAMEL SAMPLE BOOK
Color: Black; Blue; Green; Red; Yellow
A sample book of enamel colors from the Bradley's Hard Drying Floor Enamel line, ca. 1920s. Printed by Bowles Publishing Corporation of San Francisco and published by the Bradley Wise Paint Co., the front cover has, at the top, a colorful illustration of a man applying enamel to a floor of a residence's bedroom. Below this is the company logo and the product title. At the bottom, in a black-bordered panel with a blue background is the company name and locations in four California cities. On the back cover are directions for using the product with the company logo of a painter in a can of Bradley's paint and the motto "SERVICE IN EVERY CAN" within a black circular border below. On the inside front cover is a statement about the product and its use for interiors as well as the advantage of easy cleaning and quick drying. The inside of the back cover has the color assortment, including silver gray; light gray; french gray; light tan; light oak; dust color; medium brown; and light maroon. The samples are adhered to the pages with the title "BRADLEY'S FLAT WALL FINISH" and a thin piece of glassine is part a and separates the color samples from the opposite page so they will not be damaged. With only a few creases, very light soiling, impressions on the back cover from the samples inside, and a portion of the back cover text scratched away, the document is in good overall condition.
