A cabinet card photograph, Brea Canyon Oil Co. oil fields, ca. 1890. Photograph by H. K. Adams, Fullerton. The birds eye view shows the company's operations along the slope of a hill. At the base are two large cylindrical reservoirs amongst smaller wood construction buildings. Reservoirs are labeled as Union Oil Co. Dotting the hillside are several oil derricks with drills. Several roads are visible going up the hill side. Included is the photographer's stamp on the reverse. With minor loss of the photograph at the top left corner and a splatter stain on the reverse of the mounting board and heavy fading, the object is in fair condition.
