BREAKFAST ROOM DOOR TO DINING ROOM, LA CASA NUEVA, DINING ROOM SIDE
Color: Brown
A color copy of a polaroid photograph of the door from the Breakfast Room to the Dining Room of La Casa Nueva, ca. June 1978. Shown from the Dining Room side, the door features two leather panels with metal decorative pieces mounted to them. The top panel's pieces form an "x" with three other pieces around the pattern. An oval shape with a piece at the center and others at the corners, except for the lower right piece, which is missing, is on the bottom panel. Surrounding the panels are the darkly painted wooden sections of the door, with the lock and handle at the right and the hinges at the left. Portions of the dark brown doorway frame and the white plastered walls flanking the door are visible. On the reverse in blue ink is the inscription "Temple Mansion / Dining Room / view orig. leather / covered door prior / to restoration / photo by Jeff Tyler, Alham. / R-1 #27 / ca. June 1978." Below this, covered with tape, is the stamp of restoration architect Raymond Girvigian with his name, address and telephone number. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
