"Broadway, Los Angeles," Adolf Freese, ca. 1900s. The view is from the west side of the street at about First and looks south. Pedestrians, horse-drawn vehicles, commercial buildings from two to about four stories, streetcars and tracks, and power lines and poles are notable. City Hall, with its distinctive clock tower, is down the street and at the left. The title is written in ink on the reverse. With minor soiling on the image, soiling and small stains, as well as abrasions on the mount, moderate fading, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
