Description
Broadway Street decorated for the 51st Imperial Council of the Mystic Shrine in Los Angeles, 5 June 1925. The photograph is taken by Underwood and Underwood in Chicago. According to the typed inscription on the reverse, the decoration in both commercial and residential areas cost about $150,000. The buildings depicted in this photograph are on the right side of the street, decorated with the American flag, patriotic banners and Shriners symbols on all floors. A row of automobiles are parked along the curb. A few pedestrians are walking in the street. The photograph is in good condition with minor creasing at the top edge and losses to top edge.
