Description

Color: Black; Blue A price list for the Bucilla sample book, issued by the Bernhard Ulmann Co. Inc., August 1, 1921. The four-page artifact is of blue paper with the printing in black ink. At the top right corner is the date, and below this are the words, "We suggest uniform retail prices which afford a fair margin of / profit to all dealers." At the center is the title of the sample book which the list corresponds to, and below this is, "GLOSSILLA / BRIGHTER THAN SILK / EMBROIDERY KNITTING AND CROCHET MATERIALS / BUCILLA-GLOSSILLA-BEAR BRAND / BLUE BOOK PUBLICATIONS." At the bottom is the name of the company and its main address, as well as the many addresses of its different salesrooms. Around the front is a double-line border. On the back is a list of embroidery, knitting, and crochet materials as well as a list of other publications by the company. On the inside are the prices for the thread and yarn samples found within the book which is item .1. Some of the material name types are crochet; ombree; perle; mouline; mercerized; embroidery; darning; floss; and boil-proof. With light creases, two folds across the center, and two stains, the object is in fair condition.
