BUILDERS WOODWORK . . . UNIVERSAL DESIGN BOOK NO. 25 Color: Brown "Universal Design Book No. 25 on Builder's Woodwork," published by the Universal Catalog Bureau from products made by the Rust Sash & Door Company, 1927. The work, which is 356 pages, has a dark brown leather-like cover with the title and manufacturer's name embossed on the front within a design consisting of a variety of squares. On the spine is a gold background with the workd 'UNIVERSAL' and "NO. 25" below. The work consists of products made by the Rust Sash & Door Company and includes front entrances and entrance doors; sidelights; interior and garage doors; screens; windows; blinds; frames; stairs and stairway details; niches; fireplaces; furniture, such as bookcases, cabinets, and cupboards; wainscotting and coving; trim; porchwork; glass; and mouldings. There are many illustrations, most in black and white, but a few in color accompanying descriptions and sizes of the products. Prices were given in a supplement that was not found with the work. An alphabetical index is at the back of the book. With some stains, discoloration and buckling from moisture damage on the pages and some fairly extensive wear on the cover and spine, the work is in fair condition.
