Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of a bullfight procession in a stadium in Spain, 1930. The group is at the center marching across the middle of the arena with the mounted picadores at the front and the bullfighters at the back. At the foreground are the backs of two men wearing caps. Many people are in the two-level stands, which are in the background. A sign is along the top of the second level, but damage to the image has made this indiscernable. Stamped on the back is, "VELOX" and, "001AR374." The photograph was taken during Agnes Temple's honeymoon and was housed in her album, which is item 96.7.94.1, along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With water damage, stains, and creases, the object is in poor condition. Number-Units: 1
