BUSINESS SECTION, MONROVIA, CALIFORNIA, CA. 1923
A colored photographic postcard of the business section of Monrovia, California, ca. 1923. The view is to the north with both sides of the street featuring buildings of up to three stories. Three of the structures, two at the left and one on the right, have American flags on the roofs. A number of cars are on the street, most parked along the sides. Several street lamps line the roads along the sidewalks. The San Gabriel Mountains fill in the background beneath a blue, cloudy sky. The card was used, addressed to Elmond Haskins of Petaluma, California and dated 7 June 1923, though the name of the writer cannot be determined. There is no information about the publisher. Purchased from HM volunteer Bill Stone. In fair condition with corner dents, light discoloration, and several small stains.
