Button pin, G.A.R. Delegate, Los Angeles, ca. 1896. Round button with pin on reverse, white face and black text, "G.A.R. Delegate / Los Angeles." Abbreviation for Grand Army of the Republic. Attached to pin is a ribbon with the US flag design. Button patent by The Whitehead and Hoag Co., Newark, 14 April 1896. In good conditon, minor fraying of ribbon, surface scratches to pin face.
