2009.123.1.1Description
C. E. Hodgson ranch, Hollywood, California, ca. 1900. The view is taken from an elevated position overlooking the ranch, in which there are rows of fruit or nut trees, a small structure, fencing, and, in the foreground, a driveway and open area below where the photographer was. In the distance are more farms and ranches, a few buildings and the Santa Monica Mountains. On the reverse is a pencil inscription: "CE Hodgson's Ranch / Center of Hollywood." With creases, some soiling and an abraded area at the left, the overall condition is good.
