Description
CADETS AND MARCHING BAND MARCH AT A FOOTBALL GAME INVOLVING U. S. C.
Color: Black; White
A photograph of military cadets and a marching band marching in formation on a football field, ca. 1928. The image is taken from the stands and shows seven cadets and a horse at the front with those in front starting to turn to the left. At the rear are four rows of band members with two members in front of them. Hash marks for the line marks are on the field. In the foreground are some spectators near the photographer, while in the distance across the field are more spectators, though one section is largely empty, except for some in military uniforms. At the lower right are three men in white uniforms, probably the referees. See item .34 for why the identification that this was a game involving the University of Southern California was made. On the lower center of the reverse is the penciled number "4." In good condition overall, the item has minor surface soiling on the reverse, bowing of the paper, and dented corners.
