Description
CADETS MARCH AT A FOOTBALL GAME INVOLVING U. S. C.
Color: Black; White
A photograph of military cadets marching in formation on a football field, ca. 1928. The image is taken from the stands and shows a color guard at the head of the formation with three cadets behind them and a larger group further back. It appears yet another grouping is entering the end zone at the far left. Aside from the end zone, the yard lines are marked out on the grass and a goal post is toward the upper left. In addition to some spectators in the foreground near the photographer, many spectators are across the field in the stands. At the far left background near an entrance tunnel is a banner on which the words "U. S. C." are written, though it is unclear if the stadium is the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum across from the campus or at another location. On the lower center of the reverse is the penciled number "4." In good condition overall, the item has minor surface soiling on the reverse, bowing of the paper, and dented corners.
