"Cake Secrets," published by Igleheart Brothers, Inc., 1928. With 48 pages and a green cardstock cover, the booklet has the title at the top of the front in black. At the center is what looks like a lemon cake on a blue dish. A slice of the cake is on a small dish to the front of the latter. On the back of the front cover is the story of Swans Down Cake Flour, an introduction to cake-making, a title page, and an introduction to cake styles. The booklet is divided into eight sections: butter cakes; sponge cakes; angel food cakes; frostings; small cakes and cookies; quick breads; pastry; and cake difficulties. An index and measures for baking are at the end. Many color illustrations are found throughout. In fair condition, the artifact has abrasions; creases; soiling; browning of the pages; several stains on the cover; small tears; and wear.
