Color: Black; Gold "California and Californios, Volume Four" edited by Rockwell D. Hunt (Chicago: Lewis Publishing Company, 1926), 504 pp. A hardcover book with a black cover, the title and volume number are located on the spine in gold lettering. Along the outside edges of the pages is a blue and gold marble design. Volume four, a "mug book" in a five piece series, the book documents the history of California and its residents with biographical sketches of some of the state's most prominent people written by a staff of writers; among those featured are William Henry Workman, and his son, Boyle Workman. Black and white photographs of many of those Californians mentioned are also included among the text. With abrasions along the edges of the cover; fading of the design on the edge of the pages; and white stains on the front, the book is in good condition.
