Description

"California Arts & Architecture," Vol. XXXVI, Number 5 (November 1929), published by Western States Publishing Company, Inc. Articles cover such arts as sculpture, cinema, opera, adn theater, as well as specific examples of architecture, including residences, libraries, country club buildings, and others. One notable residence is that of author Adela Rogers St. John, described as along San Jose Creek near the Puente Hills and Whittier. There is also an article on the new casino at Santa Catalina Island. There is also material on landscape gardening, travel, and others. Many advertisements and photo illustrations are present. While the pages are generally clean, the wrappers have much soiling and stains, as well as spine damage, corner tears, and edge rubbing, so the condition is fair.
