Description
CALIFORNIA COAST, A BEACH AND SURF HITTING ROCKS, 1920s
Color: Black; White
A photograph by E. C. Engelhardt of surf crashing into rocks and a stretch of beach at an unknown California coastal location, 1920s. The view is from a point on bluffs or a cliff overlooking a section of sandy beach. There are several rock outcroppings, including a large one right of center, off of which waves are crashing and rising into a plume of water. There is a structure at the far left in the distance, but the location is unknown. At the lower left is the printed caption "Photo / by E. C. Engelhardt." With slight corner rubbing, some soiling and stains on the back, minor yellowing, and slight warping, the overall condition is good.
