Description

CALIFORNIA COAST, CLOSEUP OF SURF HITTING ROCKS, 1920s Color: Black; White A photograph by E. C. Engelhardt of a closeup of surf crashing into rocks at an unknown California coastal location, 1920s. The view is from the water's edge and shows two large rock outcroppings, off of one of which, at the right of center, waves are crashing and rising into a plume of water. At the lower right is the printed caption "Photo by E. C. Engelhardt." It seems this view is a closeup of the beach shown in item 1.7. With corner rubbing; surface soiling; yellowing; a small pencil mark at the top right of the front; warping; and small stains on the back, the condition is good. Number-Units: 1
