Description

"California Constructor," 1 March 1928 (Vol. 8, No. 5,) published by the Associated General Contractors of America, Southern California Chapter, Los Angeles. The industry publication, styled the "Road Show Number" for the Western Road and Equipment Exposition, contains chapter news, articles on construction practices, an article on the near completion of the Pacoima Dam, another on the completion of a section of Long Beach Boulevard, and more. There are also many industry-related advertisements, including one (with an article) for California Materials, a rock, sand and gravel company at Sycamore Canyon, Whittier for its new Irwindale plant and one on the inside back wrapper for Simon Brick Company's Sorrento tile installation on La Casa Nueva with an aerial view of the house and surrounding areas. With soiling, light stains and rubbing to the wrappers and generally clean pages, the overall condition is good.
